Day 1

29th September 2016

We were picked up from 18 Ursa Street at 8.45 am by a white limo (7 seater) and enjoyed a relaxing journey to the International Airport arriving at 9.25 am.

After much confusion, we were booked in and our luggage dropped off. We then had to wait about half hour for 2 wheel chairs (me and David) to transport us through to customs where we sailed through without any problems. We boarded the plane at approx.. 11.30 am and settled in before we taxied and took off at 12.15 p.m.

The flight was a bit bumpy due to storms around Brisbane, but as we got further out, it became much calmer, but too cloudy to see much from our middle aisle seats.

We had a very large lunch (menu kept) at 2.00 pm Brisbane time and then we settled back for the rest of the flight to Singapore, which we tracked on the screen in front of us.

We arrived at Singapore (Changi Airport) and were taken by wheelchair to our next departure area to wait for the next flight. David was able to get some Nuggets and Chips from Macdonalds after we changed some money, and we enjoyed watching the hustle and bustle of one of the most amazing and largest airports I could ever have imagined.
